Our Junior Learn to Skate Academy is designed for children aged 3 to 7 years.  We take your child from their very first steps on to the ice until they are skating with confidence.

Classes are structured to teach the fundamentals of skating in a progressive and sequential manner.  The classes are designed to introduce young skaters to the basic skating skills required for hockey, figure or recreational skating whilst still keeping the classes fun & enjoyable.

Courses are five weeks duration and include a 30 minute lesson or 45 minute lesson per week depending upon the level.  Course costs include skate hire if needed.

Fee structure is as follows:

Beginner Totz/Kidz & Basic Kidz

$60.00 includes

• 5 x 30 minute lessons
• 5 x skate hire

Novice Kidz to Advanced Kidz

$80.00 includes

• 5 x 45 minute lessons
• 5 x skate hire

We run two five week courses each school term with a break over the holidays.

Ice skating is a fun and enjoyable activity for all ages and is a great way to keep fit.  Our Learn to Skate classes are designed to teach the basics of ice skating to skaters aged 8 years to adult.

There are five basic levels in our Learn to Skate Academy taking you from basic forward skating through to turns and edges.

Courses are run during school terms with 2 five week blocks each term.  Lessons are on Wednesday evenings at 6.30 pm or Saturday mornings at 11.30 am.  Class numbers are limited so BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL.

Fee structure is as follows:

$109.00 for five weeks includes

• 5 x 55 minute group lessons
• 5 practice sessions
• 1 guest admission

Skate hire is $3.00 per session

Ice skating isn’t just for kids! Adults of all ages and abilities can enjoy learning to skate.  Our adult lessons aim to improve physical fitness and increase balance and co-ordination whilst teaching you correct skating technique.

Whether you are skating for fun and fitness or wanting to become more serious about your skating, our Adult Learn to Skate Academy is for you.

• There is no upper age limit.
• No skating experience is necessary.
• Learn at your own pace.
• Classes cater for complete beginners to more advanced skaters (including jumps, spins and ice dance)

CLASS TIMES

Monday night 5.30 pm - 7.15 pm (school terms only). 

Classes offered are from Beginner to Advanced Freestyle plus stroking, edges and ice dance.  Classes are purchased on a weekly basis at the cost of $20.00 per session plus skate hire if required.

Tuesday morning 9.30 am - 12.00 noon (school terms only). 

Classes offered are from Beginner to Intermediate Freestyle plus ice dance and synchronized skating.  Classes are purchased on a weekly basis at the cost of $11.00 per session plus skate hire if required.

The Ice Hockey Academy is the perfect introduction to the exciting sport of ice hockey. The Ice Hockey Academy caters for skaters of all ages & abilities.

The classes cover all the skills necessary for players to start playing in an organised league & also offers the opportunity for existing players to brush up on their skills.

In order to join the Ice Hockey Academy, skaters must be able to skate forwards, perform forward cross-overs & stop.  It is recommended that skaters wishing to participate in the Ice Hockey Academy, successfully complete a minimum of Intermediate Learn to Skate through the Learn to Skate Academy.

Classes run between 5.30 pm - 7.30 pm on Tuesday evenings depending upon level.

Classes run during school terms only with two five week blocks being run each term.

The fee structure is as follows:

$109.00 includes

• 5 x 1 hour lessons
• 5 public session admissions
• 1 guest admission
• Basic equipment provided

Skate hire is an additional $3.00 per session

The Figure Skating Academy is designed for those skaters wishing to move on to the more advanced skills of jumping, spinning, artistic skating and/or ice dancing. Skaters wishing to join these classes must have successfully completed the five Learn to Skate Academy levels

Figure skating classes are currently held on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings depending upon level and are run during school terms only.

The fee structure is as follows:

$122.50 (5 weeks) includes

• 5 x 55 minute lessons (1 lesson per week)
• 5 sessions for use in Open Freestyle practice sessions or public sessions
• 1 x guest admission
   

$235.00 (10 weeks) includes

• 10 x 55 minute lessons (1 lesson per week)
• 10 sessions for use in Open Freestyle practice sessions or public sessions
• 2 x guest admissions
   

Skate hire is not included in the above costs.
